This is Harris, who I met at a conference I attended in Boston. I love the look on his face (or what you can see of it)–I totally identify with feeling a bit silly and wanting to hide when someone points a camera at me! Of course this seems rather hypocritical, since I’m an event photographer myself. Being a photographer has made an incredible impact in my life, and helped me be less shy in social situations. Having a camera in hand usually means I have to interact with people, and being the official photographer at an event gives me a genuine sense of purpose and comfort. I absolutely love what I do!
I’m really excited about this new blog, and my new website. This blog was designed by the talented Sam Karathanos at K5 Media Services. Sam was fantastic to work with–I gave him a few fairly loose guidelines, and he translated them into something even better than I originally imagined. If you need a custom Word Press site designed, I highly recommend him! Theresa Stanton of Design Focus Studio was also instrumental in getting the blog integrated with my template-based website from BluDomain. Theresa is also a fabulous portrait photographer. A huge thank you to both of you!
